A Clear Path to the Right Care

We listen, assess your needs and create a personalized care roadmap. If another provider should be part of that plan, we help guide your next step.

Care Should Come With a Clear Direction

The Left Hand Method is how we help each patient move forward with clarity. We start by understanding your concerns and goals, then assess whether our clinic is the right fit for
your needs.

From there, we explain what we found and recommend a practical next step. Your roadmap may include care in our clinic, additional testing or support from another
provider. You will understand what we recommend and why.

Step Stage What it means
1 Listen We begin with your concerns, health history and goals. We want to understand what is affecting your life and what you want to get back to doing.
2 Assess We complete an appropriate evaluation, look for the factors contributing to your symptoms and determine whether our clinic is the right fit.
3 Map We explain our findings in clear language and build a personalized roadmap around your needs, priorities and goals.
4 Care or Connect We provide the care that fits within our expertise. If you need additional support, we help point you toward an appropriate provider or service.
5 Review We monitor your progress, answer your questions and adjust the roadmap as your needs change.

Your Personalized Care Roadmap

After your assessment, your doctor will explain the recommended next step based on your symptoms, examination findings and goals. Depending on your needs, your roadmap may include:

  • A clear explanation of what the assessment found
  • Recommended care options and priorities
  • A plan for follow-up and reviewing your progress
  • Guidance for what to do between visits
  • A recommendation for imaging or another provider when appropriate

Every roadmap is different. Your doctor will answer your questions so you understand the recommendation before moving forward.

When Your Next Step Is Outside Our Clinic

Good care includes recognizing when another type of provider or service may better support your needs. We may recommend outside support when your assessment indicates that you need imaging, medical evaluation, rehabilitation or care that our clinic does not provide.

If that happens, we will explain why the recommendation is being made and how it fits into your overall roadmap.

Support Beyond Our Office

Depending on your needs, your care roadmap may include support from:

    • Diagnostic imaging services
    • Primary care providers
    • Medical specialists
    • Physical therapy and rehabilitation providers
    • Other health and wellness professionals

The right referral depends on your individual needs. Your doctor will explain the type of support being recommended and why it may be helpful.

We Help Make the Next Step Clear

If we recommend outside care, we help you understand what to do next. When appropriate, our team can provide referral information, explain how the additional service fits into your roadmap and coordinate relevant information with your permission.

Our goal is to help you move forward with a clear direction, even when the next step takes place outside our clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to visit Left Hand Chiropractic Center?

In most cases, no. You can schedule directly with our clinic. We will assess your needs and explain the appropriate next step.

What happens during my first appointment?

Your doctor will listen to your concerns, review your health history and complete an appropriate assessment. If we are confident that we can help, we will explain our findings and recommend a care roadmap.

Will I receive treatment during my first visit?

Treatment may be provided on the first visit when your doctor determines that it is safe and appropriate. In some cases, additional information or imaging may be recommended first.

What happens if chiropractic care is not the right fit?

We will explain why another type of care may be more appropriate and help point you toward a suitable provider or service.

Does a referral mean that something serious is wrong?

Not necessarily. A referral may simply mean that imaging, another assessment or a different type of expertise would help clarify or support your care.

Do you work with other healthcare providers?

Yes. When appropriate, we can recommend outside services or providers that may support your care. The specific recommendation depends on your needs.

How long will my care plan last?

The length and frequency of care depend on your assessment, goals and response to treatment. We review your progress and adjust the roadmap when needed.
