Back Pain Treatment in Longmont, CO

Personalized, evidence-based care that helps you calm back pain, move easier, and get back to your normal.

What’s Causing Your Back Pain?

Back pain is incredibly common. In the U.S., about 39% of adults reported back pain in the past 3 months.

Sometimes it’s a simple strain or irritated joint. Other times it’s disc-related, nerve-related (like sciatica), or tied to how your spine, hips, and muscles are working together day-to-day.

At Left Hand Chiropractic Center, we focus on two things:

  • What’s driving your pain, and
  • What will actually help you change it, not just “manage it.”

Important note: If you have severe or worsening weakness, loss of bowel/bladder control, fever, unexplained weight loss, recent serious infection, or a history of cancer, you should seek urgent medical evaluation.

Relief That Makes Sense for Real Life

Back pain has a way of shrinking your world. One bad flare-up and suddenly you’re negotiating with your own body over basic stuff like sitting, sleeping, working, driving, or picking something up without bracing for impact. If you’ve been dealing with it for a while, it can also mess with your confidence. You start moving “carefully” all the time, and that cautious movement often becomes part of the problem.

If you’re in Longmont, or coming in from Firestone, Frederick, Niwot, Gunbarrel, Hygiene, Lyons, Mead, or Boulder, our goal is to give you a plan that feels clear, calm, and actually doable. We take your symptoms seriously, we explain what we’re seeing, and we focus on helping you feel better quickly so you can get back to the things you love, without turning your life into a never-ending treatment schedule.
Left Hand Chiropractic

When it makes sense, we combine chiropractic care with supportive therapies like soft tissue work and home guidance. If your case calls for imaging or another provider, we will tell you plainly and help guide next steps. The standard here is simple: you should feel important, welcome, and well cared for from the moment you walk in.

Prepare for Your Assessment

At your appointment time, your doctor will meet you in the lobby, introduce themselves and walk you back to an adjusting room. We start by explaining exactly what to expect during your appointment. The first 10 minutes of the conversation are simply to confirm you qualify for our care and that we’re the right clinic for what you need. If we’re not, we’ll give you the contact information for exactly who you need to see.

Assessment and Exam

You’ll share what’s bringing you in, and we’ll ask thorough questions to get closer to a clear direction. If we’re confident we can help, we’ll move into an exam right there in the same room, and you stay fully dressed.

Next Steps, Clearly Explained

Based on what we find, we may provide an adjustment that day if it’s safe and appropriate, or refer you out for X-rays if needed. Either way, you’ll leave understanding what’s going on and what we recommend.

FAQs

Common Questions We Hear Every Week

Transparency builds trust — we’re here to help you understand your care before, during, and after treatment.

Do I need an X-ray or MRI for back pain?

Not always. Many guidelines recommend avoiding early imaging unless “red flags” are present (serious trauma, cancer history, infection signs, severe or progressive neurological symptoms, etc.). We’ll tell you if imaging looks necessary based on your history and exam.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on what’s driving your pain and how long it has been going on. We’ll start with a clear plan and adjust week-to-week based on how you respond.

What are “red flags” that mean I should get checked urgently?

Loss of bowel or bladder control, saddle numbness, severe or worsening weakness, fever, unexplained weight loss, recent serious infection, or cancer history. If you have these, seek urgent medical evaluation.
