Shockwave Therapy in Longmont, CO

A modern, non-invasive option for chronic tendon pain, stubborn soft tissue injuries, and long-standing tension, delivered with personalized care and clear next steps.

Targeted soundwave therapy to help your body restart the healing process.

Shockwave Therapy (also called Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, or ESWT) uses high-energy acoustic waves delivered into injured tissue to support pain relief and recovery. The goal is to stimulate your body’s natural healing response by improving circulation and encouraging tissue repair, especially in areas that have been “stuck” for a while. Many patients describe it as like getting 6 one-hour massages in 5 minutes.

At Left Hand Chiropractic Center, we use pulsed radial shockwave as a precise tool in your care plan, not a random add-on. We evaluate first, explain what we see, then use shockwave when it fits your case and your goals.

Service areas: We are located in Longmont, and patients regularly visit us from Firestone, Frederick, Niwot, Gunbarrel, Hygiene, Lyons, Mead, and Boulder.

FAQs

Common Questions We Hear Every Week

Transparency builds trust — we’re here to help you understand your care before, during, and after treatment.

Does shockwave therapy hurt?

Most people describe it as intense pressure or a deep massage sensation. We can adjust intensity and frequency based on your comfort.

How long is a session?

The treatment itself typically takes 5 to 10 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the area, the type of injury, and how long it has been there. Many patients see long-term results in 6 to 12 sessions, then we reassess.

Is there downtime after treatment?

No downtime is typically needed. We will still guide you on activity, loading, and recovery so your tissue responds well.

What should I wear?

Loose-fitting clothing is best since shockwave must be applied to bare skin. If we are treating your back or upper thigh, we may provide a patient gown for comfort and modesty.

Who is not a good fit for shockwave therapy?

Some situations require caution or a different approach, including certain bleeding conditions, active infection at the treatment site, or other medical considerations. We screen thoroughly and will refer out if needed.
