DOT Physical
What is a DOT/CDL Physical?
This type of physical is necessary to carry a commercial driver’s license (CDL). A CDL requires a physical be performed at least every 2 years in order to maintain a valid license. Dr. Jonathan “Drew” Illman is licensed in the State of Colorado to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) medical exams and distribute DOT medical examiner certificates.
DOT physicals assess various aspects of a driver’s health, including vision, hearing, blood pressure, cardiovascular health, respiratory function, and overall physical fitness. These examinations also screen for conditions that could impair a driver’s ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely, such as sleep apnea, diabetes, and certain neurological disorders. CDL Physicals are required to help maintain safe drivers.
