Foot Pain

On average, Americans take roughly 4,000 steps each day. If you’re a runner or you regularly participate in aerobic exercise, you’re taking considerably more steps and putting even more stress on your already overworked feet. Since they take such a daily beating, it should come as no surprise that foot pain is a common complaint. What you may not realize is that seeing your Longmont chiropractor could be the solution to your problem.

At Left Hand Chiropractic Center, we treat numerous types of foot pain in Longmont.Foot Pain in Longmont

Types of Foot Pain

Heel Pain

Heel pain is often caused by a condition known as plantar fasciitis. The plantar fascia is a band of connective tissue that cushions the muscles of the bottom of the food and supports the arch. Heel pain may also occur as the result of calcium deposits or heel spurs.

Achilles Tendonitis

The Achilles tendon connects the heel bone to the lower leg. When tendonitis occurs in this tendon, the pain can be severe. Women who wear high heels, athletes and dancers are most prone to Achilles tendonitis.

Flat Feet

If your feet don’t develop arches, you may suffer from foot pain. Flat feet are fairly common, and not everyone experiences pain as a result, but major discomfort is common.
